Trip 1: Vilnius – Riga

Day 1: VILNIUS

  • Arrival to Vilnius

Overnight: Vilnius

 

Day 2: VILNIUS

  • Sightseeing tour of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania with the Europe’s largest Baroque old town.

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage - protected Old town, the Gates of Dawn with the holy image of the Virgin Mary, Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, Cathedral Square, Gediminas Castle, St. Ann and Bernardines’ Church, St’s. Peter and Paul’s Church, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University founded in 1579 with St. John’s Church.

Overnight: Vilnius


 Day 3: VILNIUS – TRAKAI- VILNIUS

  • Trip to Trakai (25 km from Vilnius), the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

Visit to the Trakai castle build in the XIV century, set on a small island on the Lake Galve. Discover the beautiful lakeside town of Trakai and learn about the Karaites ethnic group that settled in there. You can enjoy some free time to shop and relax. Evening return to Vilnius.

Optional: Visit the Uzutrakis Palace – which once belonged to the Tiskevic family. You can enjoy the palace interior exhibition and its surroundings.

Day 4: VILNIUS - RIGA

  • Travel to Riga + Rundale Palace

Stop at Rundale Palace the XVIII century, a beautiful late Baroque palace in Latvia. There are plenty of spectacular rooms to see in the palace and a beautiful park around it.

Overnight: Riga

 

Day 5: RIGA

  • Sightseeing tour in Riga

Walk through Riga’s Old Town, take in medieval sights like St. Peter’s Church and Riga Castle, explore the city’s striking, UNESCO-recognized, Art Nouveau district. Head to the New Town for a look at the Freedom Monument. Free evening.

Optional: Afternoon excursion to Ethnographic Open Air Museum.

Trip 2: Visit Capital and rest in Resort City

Day 1: VILNIUS

  • Arrival to Vilnius
Overnight: Vilnius

 

Day 2: VILNIUS

  • Sightseeing tour around the Vilnius.

Tour starts from the Gate of Dawn – The only surviving gate of the five gates in the city wall which was surrounding the city in XVI century. The gate is also famous from the image of Virgin Mary Mother of Mercy. The trip continues to the UNESCO World Heritage - protected Old town – the largest Europe’s Baroque old town. The tour continues to the Town Hall Square and Vilnius University (founded in 1579) with St. John’s Church. You will also see the Neo- Classical Cathedral and its square, the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and the Gediminas Tower.

Day 3: VILNIUS

  •  Tour to the St. Ann and Bernardines Church + neighborhood of Uzupis

During this walk you will see the ancient medieval structure of St. Anne’s Church and hear why Napoleon liked it so much, visit the Bernardines Church and the garden which they started. Next you will go to the Republic of Uzupis which is known as the place that allures artist, musicians and photographs. Enjoy your time in this colorful and alive district or come back to the old town.

Day 4: VILNIUS - TRAKAI – VILNIUS

  •  Sightseeing tour of Trakai

Morning starts with trip to Trakai – about 25 km from Vilnius - former Capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit to the Trakai castle build in the 14th century, set on a small island in the Lake Galve. Discover the beautiful lakeside town of Trakai and learn about the Karaites ethnic group that settled there.

Optional: Visit the Uzutrakis Palace – which once belonged to the Tiskevic family. You can enjoy the palace interior exhibition and its surroundings.


Day 5: VILNIUS - DRUSKININKAI

  •  Trip to Druskininkai

Stop at Grutas Park – the home of soviet statues. It’s the 50-acre park where you walk around monumental sculptures from Soviet era transported from all over Lithuania. Grutas Park also called "Stalin’s World” is the best place to learn about Lithuania history during the soviet occupation. Later you will continue your trip to Druskininkai resort.

Day 6: DRUSKINIKAI – VILNIUS

  •  1794 the Grand Duke of Lithuania and the King of Poland Stanislaw August Poniatowski issued the decree and declared Druskininkai to be the watering-place.

Enjoy Druskininkai Aqua Park, Spa, Health Center where you can mineral bath procedures. Walk around, use cableway which can transport you to snow arena and also serve as great place for panoramic views of Druskininkai, enjoy the playing fountain and most important just relax and enjoy the warm atmosphere of this resort city.

Come back to Vilnius.
