Trip 1: 4 days Vilnius Tour

Day 1: VILNIUS

  • Arrival to Vilnius

Overnight: Vilnius

 

Day 2: VILNIUS

  • Sightseeing tour around the Vilnius.

Tour starts from the Gate of Dawn – The only surviving gate of the five gates in the city wall which was surrounding the city in XVI century. The gate is also famous from the image of Virgin Mary Mother of Mercy. The trip continues to the UNESCO World Heritage  protected Old town – the largest Europe’s Baroque old town. Tour continues to the Town Hall Square and Vilnius University (founded in 1579) with St. John’s Church. You will also see the Neo- Classical Cathedral and its square, the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and the Gediminas Tower.

Day 3: VILNIUS

  • Tour to the St. Ann and Bernardines Church + neighborhood of Uzupis.

During this walk you will see the ancient medieval structure of St. Anne’s Church and hear why Napoleon liked it so much, visit the Bernardines Church and the garden which they started. Next you will go to the Republic of Uzupis which is nowadays known as the place that allures artist, musicians and photographs but before the World War II was the place of living of the one of the main Jewish communities in Vilnius. Learn about the history and enjoy your time in this colorful and alive district or come back to the old town.

 

Day 4: VILNIUS

  • Jewish Vilnius Tour

Find out about Jewish cultural heritage in Lithuania. Discover the eighteen century history of this community, meet with steel living descendants and visit the one of remaining synagogue. The guide will tell you history of Goan of Vilna, very important Jewish figure and much more.
