Trip 1: Lithuania in 6 days

Day 1: VILNIUS

  • Arrival to Vilnius

Overnight: Vilnius

 

Day 2: VILNIUS

  • Sightseeing tour of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania with the Europe’s largest Baroque old town.

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage - protected Old town, the Gates of Dawn with the holy image of the Virgin Mary, Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, Cathedral Square, Gediminas Castle, St. Ann and Bernardines Church, Saints Peter and Paul’s Church, Town Hall Square and Vilnius University (founded in 1579) with St. John’s Church.

Overnight: Vilnius

 

Day 3: VILNIUS – TRAKAI – VILNIUS  


  • Trip to Trakai (25 km from Vilnius), the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

Visit to the Trakai castle build in the XIV century, set on a small island in the Lake Galve. Discover the beautiful lakeside town of Trakai and learn about the Karaites ethnic group that settled there. You can enjoy some free time to shop and relax. Evening return to Vilnius.

Day 4: VILNIUS – KAUNAS – KLAIPĖDA

  • Morning departure to Kaunas - the second largest city of Lithuania.

Between two World Wars Kaunas was the capital of the country. City tour of Kaunas includes the XIII century Kaunas Castle, the Old Town of Kaunas with its St George's church, Town Hall of Kaunas, known locally as "White Swan”, Town Hall Square, the XIV century Church of Vytautas, Cathedral- Basilica. Evening travel to Klaipėda – the seaport and the vibrant city.

Day 5: KLAIPĖDA – NIDA – KLAIPĖDA

  • Departure to Nida - Ferry trip to the Curonian Spit.

Tour in Neringa located on the Curonian Spit separating the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon. The Curonian Spit National Park peninsula is a unique phenomenon with its sand dunes, beach coastline and fragrant pine forests. Arrival in Juodkrante. Visit the Hill of Witches that houses a hundred fanciful and folksy wooden sculptures scattered along a forest path. Lunch. A further drive to Nida. The tour of Nida includes the Amber Gallery, Fisherman’s House, famous German writer Thomas Mann’s Museum, neo-Gothic church and a walk along impressive sand dunes. Return to Klaipeda.

Optional: Bike trip to the hill of Witches.

Day 6: KLAIPĖDA - VILNIUS

  • City tour of Klaipeda

Walking around the old town, the Theatre Square with sculpture of Annchen von Tharau, and walk by the old sailing ship Meridianas. Free time, ride back to Vilnius.

Day 4: KAUNAS – KLAIPĖDA – PALANGA

  • City tour of Klaipeda

Walking around the old town, the Theatre Square with sculpture of Annchen von Tharau, and walk by the old sailing ship Meridianas. Departure to Palanga

  • Tour in Palanga

Visit the Botanic Garden and the Amber Museum which is placed in the palace of Count Tyszkiewicz. The museum has 25,000 pieces of amber on display, 15,000 of them containing insects. Enjoy Baltic see and relax.

Day 5: PALANGA – CURONIAN SPIT – PALANGA

Day 6: PALANGA – VILNIUS

Free mornig in Palanga

  • Departure to Vilnius. Stop at the Hill of Crosses.

The Hill of Crosses is Lithuania'smost impressive and inspiring religious sight. More than 250 thousand crosses every size and design stand on Jurgaiciai mound near Siauliai and became a symbol of Lithuania's Catholic faith and national identity.

Day 7: VILNIUS

Enjoy the free day in Vilnius. Walk through the old town with lovely restaurants and café’s fell the atmosphere of the capital.

Day 8: VILNIUS – TRAKAI- VILNIUS

Day 9: VILNIUS - DRUSKININKAI


  • Trip to Druskininkai

Stop at Grutas Park – the home of soviet statues. It’s the 50-acre park where you walk around monumental sculptures from Soviet era transported from all over Lithuania. Grutas Park also called "Stalin’s World” is the best place to learn about Lithuania history during the soviet occupation. Later you will continue your trip to Druskininkai resort.

Day 10: DRUSKINIKAI – VILNIUS

  • 1794 the Grand Duke of Lithuania and the King of Poland Stanislaw August Poniatowski issued the decree and declared Druskininkai to be the watering-place.

Enjoy Druskininkai Aqua Park, Spa, Health Center where you can mineral bath procedures. Walk around , use cableway which can transport you to snow arena and also serve as great place for panoramic views of Druskininkai, enjoy the playing fountain and most important just relax and enjoy the warm atmosphere of this resort city.

Come back to Vilnius.
